New York from above, in all its green and grey glory — this fine art photograph looks out over Central Park from the Barbizon Plaza Hotel, the city's great rectangle of nature framed by the towers of the Upper West and East Sides. Central Park is one of the world's great urban achievements: 843 acres of meadows, lakes, and woodland carved out of Manhattan's grid in the 1850s by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, and still the lungs and heart of the city today. The Barbizon Plaza, now the Hampshire House, was one of the grand residential hotels that lined Central Park South, and this view from its upper floors captures the park at its most expansive and beautiful. A quintessential New York image, full of history and atmosphere. Printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper with optional acrylic glass or Alu-Dibond mounting for a gallery-quality finish.
