One of New York's most iconic and beloved skyscrapers — this fine art photograph of the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company Tower captures one of the defining landmarks of the Madison Square Park skyline, a building that has been a fixture of the New York imagination for over a century. Completed in 1909 and designed by Napoleon LeBrun & Sons, the tower was modeled on the Campanile di San Marco in Venice and was, at 213 meters, the tallest building in the world at the time of its completion — a title it held for four years. Its white marble facade, ornate clock faces on each of its four sides, and distinctive lantern crown make it one of the most recognizable and beautiful towers in Manhattan, glowing warmly at dusk and gleaming in the morning light. For decades the clock's bells marked the hours across lower Manhattan, and the building remains a beloved part of the city's architectural heritage. This photograph captures the tower with the clarity and affection it deserves. Printed on Fuji Crystal Archive paper with optional acrylic glass or Alu-Dibond mounting for a gallery-quality finish.
